 This patented lens is custom-made to include higher order correction eg for keratoconus. The lens is placed onto preplaced pillars (Achla clips)  that are clamped with a single hand manouver (the Andros inserter) on the iris several days prior to introduction of the lens into the eye. This is possible since the exact Effective Lens Position is known in the X,Y,Z coordinates and power can be exactly backcalculated only after the pillars are preplaced
